It's a Head Up Display for your PC ..

Spectasia brings fighter-pilot technology to your PC to provide intuitive program, file and bookmark navigation. The "instantly lookable" 3D layout makes items easier to spot, increasing productivity.

Spectasia radically reduces the time you spend looking for items, and avoids wasted clicks and embarrassing retrieval uncertainties.

Take a look at the forthcoming Spectasia 6.0 ..

A Lookable User Interface ..

Spectasia is a new way to access content visually; named a Lookable User Interface.

Here, wide-angle perspective creates a fixed 3D location for every item. Pinpointing any link is then as easy as looking towards it, and you can select items much faster than with Menus and Lists !

Lost on your own PC ?

Consider the task of selecting an item from amongst the many 1000's of bookmarks, programs and files resident on your computer. People everywhere use Menus for these retrieval tasks. However, with Menus, it is all to common to spend several minutes searching around for a single item.

Menus were designed in the 1960's for navigating no more than around a dozen items. However when the number of levels or items exceeds this number, then Menus grow cumbersome. Two problems occur. Either the user must scan through each item on a long list, and scanning becomes tedious. Or else the desired item is burried deep inside another Menu level which you cannot find.

With Menus, the user wastes time reading and re-reading irrelevent options. And this kills browsing and navigation !

Lookablity ..

Menus are not very Lookable because they do not create a sense of place. Items are simply left to float around the screen, and without any fixed visual locations.

Spectasia's 3D perspective grid, on the other hand, has a distinct pattern. Here one place is clearly differentiated from another. The eye can then dart and flit unhindered from one item to another. Here you can go straight to interesting items without delay.

Spectasia's Lookable scenes guide the eye straight to item locations, and you can rely on your own visual memory to find items with ever increasing efficiency and hence speed.

Browsing and navigation become almost effortless as a result.

Say goodbye to aimless searching ..

Spectasia is absolutely the fastest way to find any item on your PC.

Memory tests prove that users can remember the precise 3D locations of many items. The need to search and then re-search the screen for the same items, over and over again, and day after day, is eliminated.

Here you simply look for what you want, and almost before you realize what has happened, you already have it.

Ergonomic Retrieval ..

With Spectasia item selection is faster also less fiddly than with other retrieval methods.

Gone is the requirement to squint hard to read long lists of text items. Gone also is the need to open up multiple menu levels searching for items whose location is who-knows-where.

With Spectasia you simply scan one or two broad panoramas, and before you know it you see what you are looking for.

It operates like a Head Up Display ..

Spectasia is in some respects similar to a "Head Up Display" used by a fighter pilot. The central aim here being one and the same, that is rapid and timely access to information, and in a 3D visual form that maximizes the direct perception of item locations.

By establishing a clearly distinguishable angle-of-view and also depth location for every item, Spectasia is able to amplify knowledge and memory of content.

Spectasia reduces eye and click fatigue ..

Spectasia reduces the commonly experienced problems of eye and click fatigue; being side affects which are the result of constantly looking at, and interacting with, long lists of items on the display screen.

With Spectasia the repetitive scanning procedures required to find any item are considerably reduced, thereby eliminating the need to peer or stare at the screen anywhere near as intensly as you must with lists of text.

Furthermore, with Spectasia the number and frequency of experimental "clicks" required to find any item are significantly reduced.

+ Lots more world-beating features ..

Why you need Spectasia ..

Right now, information presentation on PCs, mobiles and PDAs is pretty poor, and low levels of retrieval efficiency are the norm. The primary reason is an over-reliance on Menus and lists of text.

Menus force users to read and scan long lists of text, and items are obscured by visual clutter. Users have a tendency to become lost, and can forget both what they have seen, how to find it again, and even what they were looking for in the first place !

Spectasia accelerates retrieval ..

As an alternative, Spectasia allows you to explore content simply by directing your gaze towards interesting items.

Formerly static and linear content is brought to life by means of layered information galleries. Here rich panoramic scenes capitalize on our natural ability to rapidly survey a wide-field view prior to then focusing in on items in a snap.

Put simply, Spectasia takes the hassle out of locating items. It will also increase your knowledge of content locations with every session, helping you find items even faster the next time.

It boosts your productivity ..

Studies show that people waste up to 50 percent of their time scrambling to find information.

Spectasia helps because it eliminates the need to continually search around your display screen, trying to find the same items, over and over again, and day after day.

More often than not, with Spectasia, you can spot items in an instant.

Spectasia versus the Mac Doc

Is Spectasia faster for retrieval than the Mac Doc ?

Well, it depends. If you are looking for one of 6-7 commonly used items, then Spectasia is just as fast or perhaps a little faster.

However, if you are searching through upwards of 10 - 100's of items then Spectasia is much more efficient than the Mac Doc, typically being an order of magnitude faster.

Why search when you can Look ?

The in-built search tools now found in OSX and Windows Vista are usefull utilities when you want to find something obscure or else locate an item that you have lost. However they are far too slow, fiddly and time-consuming to use several times a day.

Quickly remembering item names, giving correct spellings, plus typing speed / accuracy are major issues here.

Spectasia, on the other hand, provides a convenient way to lay your eyes (and mouse) on something in less than 5 seconds flat.

All things considered, you find items much faster with Spectasia !
